It’s been a while since I’ve written another post for you guys. In fact, it’s been way too long and I’ve been trying to get back into the swing of posting weekly posts on this blog. I’ve been just so busy with my class, my job and my finances that I’ve completely forgotten about you all. Sorry about that.
But I’m back now and I have some news for you! Since I first started my low waste journey, I’ve been reducing the number of things I have in my home (aka one of the bedrooms in my parents’ house) and replacing them with either DIY beauty products or a plastic-free alternative to what I used before. Because of these changes, I won’t be doing a lot of product reviews as frequently as I used to and instead, I’ll be focusing on other topics, like my lifestyle, DIY recipes and such.
So before my blog takes another turn, I’ll give you one last product review! This will be on the Bamboo Fibers Fortifying Mask from Maui Moisture. It’s around $8.99 and can be found at Ulta Beauty, CVS Pharmacy, and Walgreens.
I got this hair mask a long time ago and it’s just about finished. There’s still some left for use, so I’ll be finishing it up. But to put it simply, I think this product is okay. Nothing mind-blowing about it, but nothing terrible about it either.
The consistency is a very thick cream and the fragrance is a somewhat fresh, spring one that I really like. On the issue of deep conditioning, I had to leave it on for nearly an hour to get the full effects and despite it being really easy to rinse out, my hair didn’t really feel any different. Maybe a slight softening to my tight curls, but that’s it.
Maybe it’s due to me already having healthy hair or my hair not being thin and brittle, but this product didn’t do much for my hair. That’s not to say that I won’t be using it ever again; I would buy this again, but only when I’m low on money and I’m trying to budget.
Have you used this product? Tell me how it worked for you! I’ll see you in the next post, everyone!
